Hello Marc-Antoine, thank you for taking the time to chat with us today. Can you tell us about your career path and your current role?
I have over 7 years' experience as a Business Analyst. My career path has taken me through various sectors, but for the past year I've been lucky enough to work with a major energy player in French-speaking Switzerland. My main role is to analyze operational needs and propose strategic solutions to improve the efficiency and performance of our services.
What are the main projects you've worked on for the company?
One of the major projects I led was the implementation of an asset management system. This project involved interviewing various stakeholders in order to analyze business processes to optimize the data acquisition chain. I also worked on initiatives to replace several other IT systems to manage maintenance.
What specific challenges have you encountered in these projects?
The challenges were many and varied. Among the most significant were the technical complexity of the energy systems, the need to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and the management of customer expectations. In addition, we had to ensure that all proposed solutions complied with strict environmental standards and local regulations.
What skills and qualities do you consider essential for success as a Business Analyst in the industrial sector?
The ability to analyze and interpret complex data is essential. Strong communication skills are also crucial to explain analytical findings to different stakeholders and gain their support for proposed initiatives. A good understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends is also essential to remain relevant and propose innovative solutions.
